Las Vegas is a city that offers a wide range of attractions for all tastes and ages. From light and music shows, to natural and cultural landscapes, to casinos, hotels and restaurants of the highest level, Las Vegas has something to surprise and entertain its visitors. Below are some of the most emblematic and interesting sites that can be visited in this city.

If you’re wondering how we do our ranking, let me tell you a little bit: 

We designed our own system to establish which are the most recommended sites to visit. Our work is based on research and a mathematical method that gives each attraction its place in the ranking. 

Top 1: The Strip

It is the name given to the main avenue of Las Vegas, where most of the hotels, casinos and attractions of the city are concentrated. It is about 6.5 kilometers long and is full of lights, signs, fountains and replicas of famous monuments, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Colosseum or the Sphinx. It is the liveliest and busiest place in Las Vegas, both day and night. You can go walking, by car, bus or monorail.

Top 2 - Bellagio Hotel Fountain

It is one of the most impressive and famous shows in Las Vegas. It is a fountain that shoots water jets illuminated and synchronized with classical, pop or rock music. The fountain is located in front of the Bellagio hotel, one of the most luxurious and elegant in the city. The show can be seen every 15 or 30 minutes, depending on the time of day, and lasts between 3 and 6 minutes. It is free and can be enjoyed from the sidewalk or from inside the hotel.

Top 3 - Fremont Street Experience

It is a pedestrian street covered by a giant screen more than 450 meters long and 27 meters high, which projects images and light and sound effects. The street is located in the historic center of Las Vegas, where some of the oldest and most emblematic casinos in the city, such as the Golden Nugget, the Four Queens or Binion’s, are located. In addition to the screen, the street offers live entertainment, stores, restaurants and bars.

Top 4 - Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

It is a protected natural area located about 25 kilometers west of Las Vegas. It is an ideal place for nature and hiking lovers, as it offers more than 30 routes of different levels of difficulty and duration. The landscape is formed by reddish rocks, mountains, canyons and desert, which contrast with the blue of the sky and the green of the vegetation. It can be accessed by car, bicycle or bus, and there is an entrance fee (last time we checked, it was around US$15 per vehicle)

Top 5 - High Roller

It is the highest Ferris wheel in the world, with 167 meters high and 28 cabins with capacity for 40 people each. It is located in The LINQ complex, near the center of The Strip. It offers panoramic views of Las Vegas and its surroundings, especially at sunset and at night. The ride lasts about 30 minutes and the price varies according to time and day (last time we checked it was from $25 to $52 per person).

Top 6 - Caesars Palace

It is one of the most famous and luxurious hotels and casinos in Las Vegas. It is located in the center of The Strip and has a theme inspired by ancient Rome. The hotel has more than 3,000 rooms, a convention center, a shopping mall, a spa, a pool complex and several restaurants and bars. The casino features more than 1,300 slot machines, 200 table games, a poker room and a sports betting house. The hotel also hosts some of the city’s most renowned shows, which brings us to our next spot on the list…

Las Vegas is known for its offer of shows of all kinds, from musicals, comedies, magic, circus, to concerts, fights and sporting events. Cirque du Soleil, Blue Man Group, Penn & Teller, Absinthe, Le Rêve or David Copperfield. Prices and show times vary according to day, location and demand.

Top 8 - Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden

It is a botanical garden located inside the Bellagio Hotel. It is a space of more than 1,300 square meters that houses thousands of plants, flowers and trees from all over the world. The garden changes its theme and decoration according to the season and festivities, creating spectacular and colorful scenery. The garden is open 24 hours a day and admission is free.

Top 9 - Hoover Dam Bypass

It is a bridge that crosses the Colorado River and connects the states of Nevada and Arizona. It is located about 50 kilometers southeast of Las Vegas and near the Hoover Dam, one of the most important engineering works of the twentieth century. The bridge has a length of 580 meters and a height of 270 meters above river level. It offers breathtaking views of the dam, Lake Mead and the Colorado Canyon. The bridge can be accessed by car, bicycle or on foot, and is free of charge.

Top 10 - The Mob Museum

It is a museum dedicated to the history of organized crime and its relationship with Las Vegas and the United States. It is housed in a historic building that was the site of one of the first FBI offices and the scene of a shootout between mobsters and agents. The museum exhibits mob-related artifacts, documents, photos and videos, as well as interactive exhibits and immersive experiences. The museum is open daily
